The Benson Polymeric RP-80 resin is a spherical, macroporous,
styrene-divinylbenzene resin material for reversed phase and
ion pair chromatography. The high chemical stability of this resin allows the
column to operate over a pH range of 1-13.
When using organic solvents there is virtually no shrinking or swelling of
polymer bead. Swelling propensity studies indicate
lower swelling ratios than other commercially available resins of comparable
pore diameter.
The surface area of the resin is 400m2/g and the pore diameter is 80Ao.
There is consistent batch to batch reproducibility and lower operating pressures resulting in highly stable and
durable packed resin beds. Effiencies are in excess of 30,000 plates per meter. Resins are available in 5µm, 10µm,
15µm, and 8±1µm particle sizes.
